The Scene

If you can't get to paradise, we'll bring it to you.

That's Donn Beach's line, and it's the whole thesis. Sippin' Santa is what happens when 1950s tiki escapism collides head-on with a Christmas that will not be reasoned with. Palm fronds in tinsel. Santa hats on every barstool. A ceiling you can't see for the gift boxes hanging off it.

  1. Saturated, not decorated

There is no such thing as too much. Every corner of One Fourteen gets buried — twinkling lights strung under the bar and across the ceiling, wrapped presents suspended on fishing line, tropical flower garland, fish floats, flocked trees trimmed with seashells and leis. The rule we work to: take a selfie anywhere in the room, and if any part of the background isn't radiating Christmas, we go back and fix it.

  2. Built by the Bum

The menu is Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's — the man who spent thirty years excavating lost tiki recipes. Four of the fifteen drinks are brand new for 2026, and the tenth-anniversary list brings back flashback favorites all the way to the 2016 original.

  3. The mug is yours

Every drink lands in its own custom vessel — Mersanta, Pelican, Pineapple, Surfin' Santa, and the brand-new Frosted Penguin Coupe. Made only for Sippin' Santa. Buy the one you liked on your way out.

  4. Six weeks, then gone

This is a pop-up, not a concept. On January 1 the palms come down, the red paint goes back to normal, and One Fourteen returns to being One Fourteen. Which is exactly why the line forms — you cannot come back in February. Come early in the run if you want a seat; come late if you want the chaos.

The Nice List

Get in before the line does.

Opening night details, buyout dates before they're public, the nights we're quiet enough to actually get a seat, and one heads-up when the season is ending. That's it — a handful of messages across six weeks, then we go away until next November.

Before You Come

The short answers.

Do you take reservations?
No. Walk-in only, first come first served, bar and tables alike. The one exception is groups — six or more can book a table or a semi-private section through the private events form.
How long is the wait?
Tuesday through Thursday, usually none. Friday and Saturday after 8pm, expect 30 to 90 minutes at peak. The two weeks before Christmas are the busiest stretch of the season. Our door team will always give you an honest number rather than a hopeful one.
Is there a cover charge or ticket?
No cover, no ticket, no minimum. Walk in and order a drink.
Can I bring kids?
Sippin' Santa is 21+ all night. We know the room looks like a Christmas movie — it's still a bar, and Kentucky ABC rules don't care how many lights we hung.
Do you serve food?
Food can be built into any group package — ask in the private events form. Walk-in food availability is posted in-venue and on Instagram.
Is there a dress code?
None — though the room rewards effort. Ugly sweaters, Santa hats, and Hawaiian shirts are all deeply encouraged, and our staff will be out-dressing you regardless.
What happens after December 31?
It's gone. The decor comes down the first week of January and One Fourteen goes back to normal until next November. There is no extending your visit into the new year, so don't put it off until the 30th.
What are the hours?
Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday 4pm–2am, Friday and Saturday noon–2am, closed Mondays. Any change for Christmas week or a private buyout goes up on Instagram first.
Where do I park?
Metered street parking on Main and Market, plus paid garages within two blocks in either direction. Rideshare drop-off works cleanly on Main.
